Odyssey AM |
||||
This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 2001 (August 19, 2009). About 59 degrees across at the widest point, this view of an area named Odyssey was taken in the morning with low-sun lighting to look at morphology and textures. The hill centered in the front of the background is called Von Braun. The same area was imaged the following sol in the evening, which extends the field of view to both the right and left. Pancam's 482 nm filter was used in this mosaic. This is a mosaic made from the left eye only.
