Northeast Survey 3x2 |
||||
This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 2172 (March 4, 2010). The image, which ties in with a 4x2 mosaic taken on sol 2170, shows the dark rays and rubble associated with Concepcion Crater. At this point in the mission, Opportunity was just starting her way south, away from Concepcion and toward the distant Endeavour Crater. The field of view shown here is approximately 40°. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
