Drive Direction

         This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 1891 (April 28, 2009).  The approximately 97 degree wide view is looking west and augments the previous drive directions (Sol 1869, Sol 1871, and Sol 1886) that were looking south. Located to the west of Home Plate, this drive direction mosaic features Tsiolkovsky Ridge. The image seams are visible in this mosaic as sun glare has washed out some of the images on the horizon. Pancam's 753 nm filter was used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: a mosaic made from the left eye only, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
