Endurance South Wall

This panorama shows the South wall of "Endurance Crater" from the rover's location within the crater. The mosaic was taken on sol 248 (Oct 03, 2004) and consists of 20 separate camera positions, with four filters per position. It covers approximately 149 degrees of terrain around the rover. About 17 meters away rests Wopmay, a large 1.5 meter rock (in the left side of the image). The composite shown above is an approximate true-color rendering generated from the panoramic camera's 753nm, 535nm and 482nm filters.
