Spirit Self Portrait

         NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Spirit used its panoramic camera to take the images combined into this mosaic view of the rover. The downward-looking view omits the mast on which the camera is mounted. Dust accumulation on Spirit's solar panels is easily seen in the view. The images were taken through the camera's 601nm, 535nm and 482nm filters during Sols 329 and 330 (Dec. 5 and 6, 2004).
