Rear Tracks

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 992 (November 8, 2006).  Opportunity had been sitting at this location for awhile taking a panorama of Cape Verde at Victoria Crater. These rear tracks were imaged 30 sols earlier, and this is a second look try to detect changes that might have occured from wind and dust accumulation. The gap between the images is intentional. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
