This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 835 (May 30, 2006). After becoming embedded in a trough between ripples, the rover took this image to document the situation. It took nine days to free Opportunity from this location. The rover's wheels and front deck can be seen at the bottom of the mosaic. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
