Front Ridge

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 807 (April 10, 2006). This was the view directly in front of the rover, showing Spirit's wheel track and nearby outcrop. The light toned material in the track was churned up as the rover's stuck right front wheel dragged across the area. Pancam's 432 nm filter was used in this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an overhead perspective projection of a mosaic made from the left eye only, and an overhead perspective projection of a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
