Thunder Mountain
This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 749 (March 3, 2006). This is a look back at the tracks and outcrop behind Opportunity after it drove to its second location at the Payson outcrop ledge on the rim of Erebus crater. The field of view spans about 30 degrees.
Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic. Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
