Ben Franklin

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 729 (January 20, 2006).  The field of view shown here is approximately 40 degrees wide. Spirit's tracks are easily seen near the center of the False color version, along with the light toned soil churned up when the rover drove through the area. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Three versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red blue glasses.
