Northwest

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 701 (December 22, 2005). The image shows approximately 80 degrees of Spirit's view to the northwest, taken just after leaving the Comanche outcrop. The rover's right solar panel can be seen in the lower edge of this mosaic. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Three versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red blue glasses.
