Comanche

The Spirit rover acquired this mosaic on Sol 698 (Dec. 19, 2005) of an outcrop in the Columbia Hills called Comanche. Spirit encountered the outcrop on its way down Husband Hill, stopping briefly to investigate before driving to the El Dorado Dune Field. This view spans about 80°. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used to create this image. Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
