Bedrock Comanche

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 694 (December 15, 2005). The column shows a feature called Comanche at the top, along with lighter toned outcrop near the bottom. Spirit found Comanche on her way down from Husband Hill. See a more detailed image of this feature. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
