East Basin

         This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 657 (November 7, 2005).  The field of view is approximately 149 degrees and shows the view into the East Basin. Dark areas of dunes are especially evident at the base of the hills. Pancam's 482nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  This is a mosaic made from the left eye only.
