Trick or Treat

         This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 618 (October 19, 2005). In keeping with the team's use of holiday related target names, this image of ripples and outcrop near Erebus Crater (visible in the background) was named after Halloween. The field of view is about 30 degrees wide. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
