This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 608 (September 18, 2005). The rover took a series of images of this area under different lighting conditions. This is the view to the east at approximately 14:00 LST. Part of the rover's solar panel can be seen in the lower right side of the frame. Pancam's 753nm, 601nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
