Drive Direction

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 4903 (November 8, 2017). This approximately 61 degree wide mosaic is in the upcoming drive direction centered on the downslope lily pad to the east of the rover. "Lily pads" are north-facing locations less than 20 meters (about 66 feet) apart in distance that Opportunity stopped at so she could gather enough solar power to stay alive and keep moving through her eighth Martian winter. Pancam's 601 nm filter was used in this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: a mosaic made from the left eye only, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
