SW Ridge

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 4537 (October 28, 2016). About 32 degrees wide, the view here is of the southwest ridge. NOTE: The setting sun on the horizon created a whitewashing effet in the lower left of each frame making the final image product have visible seams, even in monochrome. Pancam's 753 nm, 535 nm, and 432 nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
