Purgatory Track

        This dramatic view was acquired by the Opportunity rover on Sol 447 (April 27, 2005) during a campaign to free itself from "Purgatory" dune. Pancam's 601nm, 535nm, and 482nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are provided in full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering to highlight the subtle color differences in the scene.
