Blanket

The Spirit rover acquired this small mosaic of a dust-covered ridge, referred to as "Blanket," on Sol 436 (Mar. 25, 2005). The dust in the center of the depression was the actual science target here, but the entire curved, bowl-shaped ridge makes for a fascinating mosaic.
This mosaic was acquired in Pancam's 753-nm, 535-nm, and 482-nm filters. Two versions are offered here at full resolution: an approximately true color rendering, and a false color stretch to bring out subtle color differences in the scene.
