Potato Furrow

Pancam acquired this view on Sol 380 (February 17, 2005) of an area called "Potato Furrow." Opportunity happened upon this 1.5 meter wide "furrow" on her way across the plains, approximately 600 meters South of "Endurance Crater." Wind passing over the depression deposited the sand at the center, and created the small ripples.  Two versions of this mosaic are offered below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to bring out subtle color differences in the scene.
