Endeavour Rim  << back to mosaics

Endeavour Rim

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 3637 (April 17, 2014).  The field of view is approximately 80 degrees wide and shows a section of Endeavour Crater rim. The crater is 22 kilometers (14 miles) in diameter. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
