Moreton Island

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sols 3494, 3495, and 3496 (November 21-23, 2013). The rover took this mosaic of the Moreton Island Outcrop before approaching the area for analysis with instruments on its robotic arm (IDD). Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
