Waratah

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 3464 (October 21, 2013). The image shows an outcrop on the rim of Endeavour Crater, with the crater interior visible in the background. The name Waratah refers to a plant native to Australia. The field of view is approximately 26° wide. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
