Outcrop Ejecta

        This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 3121 (November 3, 2012). The rover attempted to image ejecta as it passed by Sao Pantaleao Crater on Cape York. Because the team had limited knowledge of where the rover would be during imaging, this mosaic contains a gap between frames. The field of view is approximately 45 degrees wide and contains the Low Gain Antenna (LGA) in the corner of the left frame. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
