This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 286 (October 22, 2004). The westward looking mosaic was intended to compliment imaging to the southeast from the same location (available here). The field of view is approximately 29 degrees wide. Pancam's 753nm, 601nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
