Path to Burns Cliff |
||||
The Opportunity rover acquired this perspective-bending mosaic of the ground leading up to Burns Cliff, in Endurance Crater, on Sol 269 (Oct. 26, 2004). This was one of two "drive direction" mosaics obtained at the time, taken to provide the Rover Planners with more information to make rover mobility decisions. Opportunity did end up approaching Burns Cliff, which can be seen up close in future mosaics.
The view spans approximately 30 degrees.
