This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exlporation Rover Spirit on Sol 239 (September 4, 2004) during its ascent of West Spur in the Columbia Hills. This is the first of two mosaics taken on different sols to detect changes in the scene. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used to generate this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
