Photometry East

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 223 (August 18, 2004). As the rover sat near an area called Clovis, it took a series of images of the area under different lighting conditions. This is the view to the east at approximately 10:42 LST. Pancam's 753nm, 601nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Three versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
