Ripple Ridges
This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 2187 (March 19, 2010). The image, taken on the path toward Endeavour Crater, provides a high resolution view of the ripples to help determine how they were formed. The field of view is approximately 27° wide and 8° high.
Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic. Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
