Photometry Sunset

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 1944 (June 22, 2009). This image was taken at 16:26 LST. This area was imaged under different lighting conditions at 10:27, 12:11, 13:41, 09:10, 15:12, 17:11, and 08:10. Part of this mosaic is washed out because of strong scattered light/glints across the lens of Pancam from the Sun being low on the horizon at the time the mosaic was taken. Pancam's 753 nm, 601 nm, and 432 nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
