Drive Direction

         This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 1852 (March 19, 2009).  The approximately 57 degree wide view shows the terrain ahead of the rover so that the rover team could assess the area that Spirit would drive over next. The Sol 1851 Western Route color mosaic contains the same features as seen in this view. Pancam's 753 nm filter was used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: a mosaic made from the left eye only, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
