Cobble Survey

         This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1811 (Feb. 26, 2009).  After a drive, the rover ended up on a patch of outcrop amidst the ripples. This image offers a color view of the outcrop material. The field of view is approximately 32 degrees wide. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used to make this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
