Tracks

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1211 (June 21, 2007).  The rover's tracks are visible in this image, taken near the rim of Victoria Crater. Here we see a set of fresh rover tracks next to older tracks from a previous traverse. The old tracks are on the right in each frame, appearing slightly more red in the false color version. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
