Drive Direction

This mosaic was acquired in two stages by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity. The left three frames were taken after a drive on Sol 1170 (May 9, 2007), and the right two were added on Sol 1171 (May 10, 2007).  The image shows a portion of outcrop on the rim of Victoria Crater. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
