Homeplate

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 1123 (March 1, 2007).  The approximately 93 degree wide mosaic shows the eastern face of Home Plate, a geologic area of interest in the Columbia Hills. This unconventional image was taken in stereo, with additional color filters added to two frames. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Three versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing with red blue glasses.
