Diablo to Manzano

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 053 (February 26, 2004). The view shows potential targets off the back of the rover, along with a portion of the rover's rear solar panel and Pancam calibration target. The gap between the two frames was meant to save resources for the other instruments on the rover. Pancam's 601nm, 535nm, and 482nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
