El Dorado

         This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 1786 (January 10, 2009).  About 31 degrees wide, this mosaic is one of the several mosaics monitoring the El Dorado field. Pancam's 753 nm and 432 nm filters and a synthesized 535nm filter were used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
