Endurance Rim and Heatshield

The Opportunity Pancam cameras acquired this mosaic of the Endurance Crater rim and ejecta field on sol 104 (May 9, 2004). The heatshield can be seen in the third frame.

The mosaic consists of 6 separate images in 6 different Pancam filters, and covers about 90 degrees of terrain around the rover. The images were generated using Pancam's 753 nm, 535 nm, and 432 nm filters. A false color rendering using the same filters is also available, presented to enhance the subtle color differences between different rock and soil units in the scene.
