Columbia Hills Panorama

This is an approximate true color rendering of the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit Pancam panorama of the Columbia Hills. This panorama was acquired on Sol 149 (June 4, 2004) from a position on the plains of Gusev crater about 2 km from the landing site and about 300 meters from the base of the Columbia Hills.

The panorama spans about 120 degrees and consists of images obtained in 9 individual pointings and 13 Pancam filters at each pointing. This mosaic is an approximate true color rendering generated using the images acquired through Pancam's 601, 535, and 482 nm filters.
