Opportunity Deck Pan  << back to mosaics

Opportunity Self Portrait

NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity used its panoramic camera to take the images combined into this mosaic view of the rover. The downward-looking view omits the mast on which the camera is mounted. It shows Opportunity's solar panels to be dustier than in the previous deck panorama on sols 322-323, but still relatively dust-free. The images were taken through the camera's 601nm, 535nm and 482nm filters on Opportunity's 570th sol (Aug. 31, 2005).
