McCool Hill  << back to mosaics

McCool Hill

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 776 (March 9, 2006).  The field of view is approximately 109 degrees wide and shows McCool Hill, part of the Columbia Hills. Pancam's 753 nm and 432 nm filters and a synthesized 535nm filter were used in making this mosaic.  Three versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
