Home Plate (from the top)

This mosaic was taken by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit from the top of a feature in the Columbia Hills called Home Plate. The image was acquired on Sol 773 (March 6, 2006). The view spans about 70°. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
