East Mosaic

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity from Sols 4840 (September 4, 2017) to 4871 (October 6, 2017) This view from within "Perseverance Valley" on the western rim of Endeavor Crater includes wheel tracks from Opportunity's descent of the valley to investigate its origin. For more information about East Mosaic, please visit the public release. Pancam's 753 nm, 535 nm, and 432 nm filters were used in making this mosaic. Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
