Beacon Rock

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 4617 (January 18, 2017). About 38 degrees wide by only 8 degrees in height, this mosaic was taken when Opportunity was about paralell with Beacon Rock. Pancam's 601 nm, 535 nm, and 482 nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Three versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
