Larry's Lookback

         The Spirit rover acquired this mosaic of an outcrop referred to as "Larry's Lookout" on Sol 442 (Apr. 01, 2005). Here the rover looked back the way it came in order to get a full view of the outcrop from this perspective. The rover's tracks extending off to the left side of the mosaic.
         This mosaic was acquired in Pancam's 753-nm, 535-nm, and 432-nm filters. Two versions are offered here at full resolution: an approximately true color rendering, and a false color stretch to bring out subtle color differences in the scene.
