Sky Flats Ground 2x2

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 4119 (August 25, 2015). Opportunity took this mosaic, along with an image of the sky, in order to provide calibration data for the Pancam instrument. By regularly imaging relatively even or "flat" areas, the calibration team can monitor changes in the Pancam cameras. The field of view is approximately 30 degrees. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
