Alligator

         This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 382 (January 29, 2005).  The approximately 56 degree wide image was taken before the rover approached the outcrop for investigation with instruments on the robotic arm, or IDD (Instrument Deployment Device). Pancam's 673nm filter was used in making this mosaic.  This is a mosaic made from the left eye only.
