Husband Hill

         The Spirit rover acquired this mosaic of the base of Husband Hill on Sol 377 (Jan. 24, 2005). Hills near the horizon such as this can better show surface features than flat ground, such as (in this image) rock fields and areas of relatively flat, empty terrain.
         This mosaic was acquired in Pancam's 753-nm, 535-nm, and 432-nm filters. Two versions are offered here at full resolution: an approximately true color rendering, and a false color stretch to bring out subtle color differences in the scene.
