Heat Shield  << back to mosaics

Heat Shield

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 358 (January 25, 2005).  This is a close up view of part of the rover's heat shield. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Three versions are provided at full resolution: approximate true color and false color renderings in normal and vertical projections, and a stereo anaglyph to view the scene in 3D through red-blue glasses.
